Welcome to the MathClassWiki.
The MathClassWiki is a community based project intended to create math lessons. It is ideal for instructors who would like a place to organize their lessons as part of the Wiki, and for students who are looking to learn from a variety of resources.
Two types of pages exist. Pages containing collaborative expositions on math categories, and pages with individually produced lessons on these topics. The structure is similar to Wikipedia with a few differences. First, learning and instruction are top priority: Not encyclopedic classification. Second, supplementary to basic mathematics topics instructors may create lessons linked to and about those topics.
MathClassWiki is intended to be a Wiki of 'rapid' math learning. Learning occurs rapidly if the reader interacts with a variety of lessons on interrelated topics getting the 'big picture', while at the same time doing in depth reading and practice on specific topics. Following this procedure users of the Wiki may advance at a rapidly accelerated rate.
Editors / Contributors: We need editors to add content. Content can be in the form of new topics or lessons linked to existing topics. You may also create your own lesson 'streams' on a given topic. You may create a topic entry such as 'linear algebra' and then link lessons to it without writing the topic, or you can begin the topic entry.
Amazingly tons of people have been spamming MathClassWiki with hyperlinks. Being new to running a wiki I was unsure of how to deal with it. Assuming I followed the instructions correctly you now have to create an account to make edits. And to do that you have to contact me berrtus@gmail.com Well I hope it works. Obviously I need some technical assistance here. Anyway to create your account please send me an email including your purported purpose. Then I would create your account. You may then want to read our sections on Lesson Philosophy and Getting Started. See the User's Guide for more information on adding pages and other topics.
